The £50 million Condor Liberation, claimed to be the first vessel of its kind in Northern Europe, is set to sail for the first time this Friday.
Marking a new era in sea travel, the ship will sail from Poole to the Channel Islands.
Condor Liberation features a trimaran (three hull) design, which is claimed to provide greater stability and better sea-keeping abilities and will provide a smoother ride for her passengers.
Alicia Andrews, Executive Director – Commercial at Condor Ferries, commented: “Our first sailing for Condor Liberation is now just days away, and we are very much looking forward to introducing our superb new ship to passengers and our local community. Condor Liberation will offer a much more luxurious and comfortable journey from Poole to the Channel Islands and we hope our customers will take advantage and explore these beautiful islands, either for a day trip, a short break, or a longer holiday.”
Inside, the ferry features a new Duty Free shop, Adore, children’s play area, plus a range of F&B outlets, offering hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks. Passengers can also choose from three new seating lounges, including two upgrade areas: the Horizon Lounge, which offers panoramic views via floor-to-ceiling windows; and the Ocean Club Lounge with all-leather reclining seats and first-class at-seat steward service.
Condor Liberation will sail daily from Poole to the Channel Islands throughout the summer.
