Abu Dhabi is keen to strengthen its cruise segment. In light of this development, an international marketing and promotional campaign are to be rolled-out at Seatrade Europe 2015 in Hamburg.
The dual promotional push aims to add value to cruise operator itineraries through shore excursions opportunities and port and air facilities.
Presenting a unified destination approach, a five-strong delegation was led by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) including Abu Dhabi Ports and Etihad Airways among others.
“Our presence in Hamburg will launch a series of international cruise promotional marketing activities to celebrate the forthcoming terminal facility at Zayed Port,” said Sultan Al Dhaheri, TCA Abu Dhabi’s acting executive director of tourism.
The international Cruise Abu Dhabi promotional push coincides with opening of the new permanent cruise terminal.
The next port of call for Abu Dhabi’s international promotional drive is a two-city cruise roadshow in India in October, followed by World Travel Market in London and Cruise Shipping Miami in March 2016.
