Accor, API Hotels & Resorts ink management contract

Accor Middle East recently inked a management contract with API Hotels and Resorts. The contract will see the first upscale serviced apartments – the Adagio Aparthotel Premium – set up in Al Barsha. The signing ceremony was attended by Jassim bin Mohamed Abdul Raheem Al Ali, CEO of API Hotels & Resorts and Christophe Landais, managing director for Accor Middle East.
The Adagio Aparthotel Premium Dubai Al Barsha will showcase 201 – serviced apartments from one bedroom to four bedroom apartments.. It is scheduled to be opened in the first quarter of 2014. The property will be part of a large mixed-use complex including the Novotel Al Barsha, and an office tower. In addition, the serviced apartments will also offer guests various meeting facilities such as F&B outlets, gymnasium, swimming-pool and a Spa of the adjacent Novotel Al Barsha.
Martine Balouka-Vallette, Adagio Aparthotel chief executive officer said: ‘The aparthotel’s main customers are individual corporate clients seeking extended stays. However, Adagio are also very popular among families and leisure travellers too, due to our facilities.”
The Adagio Aparthotel concept offers flexible and dynamic pricing designed for various lengths of stays (short, mid-, long-stay). It is a perfect option for business travellers and families.

The Middle East is therefore an important strategic location for the growth of the Adagio Aparthotel brand,” said Christophe Landais, managing director, Accor Middle East.
In 2014, a further two Adagio properties are set to open in UAE with Adagio Abu Dhabi Al Bustan (279 apartments) by first quarter followed by the Adagio Fujairah Town Centre (72 apartments) during the second quarter of 2014. Accor’s expansion plan for Adagio also entails a property in Saudi Arabia, the Adagio Jeddah Malik Road (77 apartments) due to open in 2016.
