Accor stamp commemorates 100th China hotel

Accor has announced the results of a stamp designing competition conducted in celebration of its 100th hotel opening in Greater China. Designers and members of the public were asked to design a commemorative stamp displaying the company’s 100th Chinese property – Pullman Oceanview Sanya Bay Resort & Spa.
From 10 December to 28 February, a total of 56 stamp designs were submitted, and more than 27,000 votes were cast via an online poll. Several different artistic styles were adopted in the works, such as photographic editing, oil painting and wood carving.
The final winner, aptly entitled ‘Pullman Oceanview Sanya Bay Resort and Spa’ was selected by netizens, receiving 2,558 online votes. As a reward, the designer will be entitled to a grand prize that includes round-trip air tickets for two people to Sanya, plus five nights’ free accommodation at the new Pullman resort.
Another 20 contestants won the participation prize, while souvenirs have been given to 50 voters.
