Air Astana boosts Georgia flights
Air Astana has added a fourth weekly frequency from Almaty to the Georgian capital Tbilisi.
The new Tuesday service took off for the first time today, and will complement the Kazakh carrier’s existing Monday, Thursday and Saturday flights. The Almaty-Tbilisi route is operated using a 97-seat Embraer E190 aircraft.
“Within a short period of time the Tbilisi-Almaty flight became very popular amongst our passengers as proven by the immediate increase of traffic,” said Ibrahim Canliel, Air Astana’s vice president of marketing & sales.
“Georgia is one of the most promising leisure destinations for citizens of Kazakhstan and citizens of other CIS countries, attracted by its unique architecture, picturesque nature, delicious cuisine and sightseeing of the pearl of Caucasus. The passenger growth was also contributed to by the continuous marketing activities of Air Astana in developing Georgia as a destination for our passengers from Kazakhstan as well as across our Asian network,” he added.
Air Astana is planning to boost its Tbilisi services to daily in future.
