Air Canada to boost Sydney flights
Air Canada is increasing its direct flights to Sydney this winter.
The national carrier will add three extra weekly flights to its currently daily Vancouver-Sydney service, taking the total frequency to 10 flights per week. The additional flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 14 December 2012 until 30 January 2013, to cater for an expected rise in demand for flights during the Canadian ski season.
“We are always looking for opportunities to further build our presence in key international markets,” said Marcel Forget, Air Canada’s Vice President of Network Planning. “These additional flights have been added to meet expected demand from the south Pacific for the upcoming Canadian ski season as well as expected demand from Canadians looking to escape winter to Sydney and beyond.”
All Air Canada flights between Canada and Australia are operated using a two-class Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
