Air France’s Asian traffic climbs 7%

Air France’s Asian routes saw a 7.4% year-on-year rise in demand in January 2011. The carrier’s performance was helped by the recent addition of flights to Ho Chi Ming City, which formed part of a 6.4% rise in capacity to the region. Load factor on Asian routes averaged an impressive 85.4%. Overall, the Paris-based airline’s total worldwide traffic climbed 4.8% in January, with load factors averaging 79.2%.
