Air India will launch additional flight services on its Delhi-Surat route this week.
Effective 2 June, the national carrier will add two more weekly flights on the route, operating every Thursday and Sunday, using an ATR turboprop aircraft.
Flight AI 9607 will depart Delhi at 0525 on both days of the week and arrive in Surat at 0755. The return flight, AI 9608, will take off from the Gujarati city at 0825 and arrive back in the Indian capital at 1110.
Presently, the airline operates a Bombardier CRJ-700 aircraft on the route five times a week, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. So the extra flights will mean Air India operates daily flights on the route.
