Avid cricket fans are preparing themselves to travel for the final set at Eden Garden Stadium in Kolkata. The huge spike reported by Skyscanner is on account of fans and supporters of rival teams making last minute bookings.

Kavita Gnanamurthy, Skyscanner’s Market Development Manager for India said, “India is a cricket loving nation where avid fans have been keen to follow their teams and players to all corners of the world. This year’s IPL finals scheduled for Kolkata will see some of India’s best team fight for the coveted title. It’s no wonder that flight searches to the city have increased by an astounding 75% in a few days.”
