Aircraft engineer dies in NZ

A maintenance engineer in New Zealand has died after being sucked into an engine. According to AP reports, the man was performing routine maintenance on a SAFE Air plane in Blenheim, in New Zealand’s South Island, when he was sucked into the Lockheed C-130 Hercules turbine. SAFE Air is a subsidiary of Air New Zealand, which confirmed the man’s death and said it is working with police to investigate the incident.
