Travel technology provider Amadeus has launched its workshop series which aims to ‘future proof’ Asia’s leading travel agencies.
The workshops, named the VIP Innovation series, will take an in-depth look at the trends that will shape the Asia Pacific travel industry over the next 18-36 months.
The series will run across the region in the next 18 months.
The workshop will also include a look at Amadeus’ new suite of solutions including both mobile and social applications.
Michael Chase-Smith, CEO World Travel Professionals in Australia said: “I couldn’t be more impressed with the technology enhancements I saw today, both to current and proposed new solutions. People often say that technology evolves quickly and that couldn’t be more true for the travel industry. Amadeus has always been a forward-thinking partner we can count on and this event reinforces our confidence in the company as our technology partner of choice.”
Bruno des Fontaines, vice president customer solutions group, Amadeus Asia Pacific said that constant innovation is key to staying ahead in a rapidly evolving industry: “These workshops are a great opportunity to build on mutually beneficial long-term relationships and to better understand how we can help our customers. Our role in Asia Pacific is to develop new solutions and continue to support our customers’ success and to stay ahead of the ‘trend curve’. We believe these workshops are just one way to do that.”
Last month we reported that Amadeus had identified Asia’s top three corporate travel trends.
