Amadeus has integrated its Amadeus Travel Office Manager (ATOM) solution with Sage – Malaysia’s most widely-used back office accounting solution.
The new link-up will provide a direct connection between Sage, ATOM and the Amadeus Selling Platform retail application, offering travel agents an automated system designed to streamline their operations.
Developed specifically for travel agencies in Asia Pacific, ATOM is a mid-office, web-based solution for travel agents. It is designed to give travel agencies control over booking data by automatically importing passenger details directly from the Amadeus Selling Platform. Sage will then complete the accounting process, managing and generating financial documents relating to the booking.
“We’ve seen ATOM take off with such success in Asia Pacific and are pleased to advance our offering for our customers. From the start, we designed ATOM to meet the specific needs of our Asia Pacific travel agency customers, who often told us they lacked adequate mid-office systems. With the Sage integration, we further address their needs by offering a complete end-to-end solution that will help them achieve even greater levels of efficiency and profits,” said Bruno des Fontaines, vice president of the customer solutions group for Amadeus Asia Pacific.
Michael Cho, managing director of Sage Software, added that the Amadeus link would help its customers “maintain business leadership”.
The combined solution is now available in Malaysia, and Amadeus said it would roll it out to other Asia Pacific markets in coming months.
