Amari Koh Samui will emerge from a 12-month refurbishment this week, with revamped rooms, outdoor areas, leisure facilities and restaurants.
The resort has been operating for 25 years, but on 1 April it will reopen, revealing the results of a major makeover that features a new contemporary Thai design.
All 197 rooms and suites across the resort’s three wings – the Garden Wing, Thai Village Wing and Beach Wing – have been updated, as has the Voyager Lounge and Prego Italian restaurant. A brand new restaurant, Amaya Food Gallery, has also been added, offering Asian cuisine from open kitchens. This outlet also features the Amaya Bar and Amaya Café.
“Having been in operation for over 25 years, Amari Koh Samui is one of the most popular resorts on Chaweng Beach, attracting a significant number of repeat visitors year after year,” said the resort’s GM, Ingo Domaschke.
“As our guest needs continue to evolve, we recognise the importance of re-energising our physical spaces, whilst still retaining the original hospitality and charm. The resort’s brand-new look is fantastic, very contemporary and above all, comfortable and functional.”
The resort’s Breeze Spa has also been renovated, while other guest facilities include outdoor pools, a fitness centre and dive centre.
