The deal, which was sealed in Beijing this week by Shinichiro Ito, President & CEO of ANA, and Ma Chongxian, President & CEO of Shandong Airlines, will come into force on 28 June.
From this date, ANA will place its flight code on Shandong Airlines’ services between Osaka’s Kansai airport and Jinan, the capital of northwest China’s Shandong province. In return, the Chinese airline will place its flight code on ANA’s flights between Tokyo’s Narita airport and Qingdao, Kansai and Qingdao, and from Kansai to both Tokyo Haneda and Fukuoka.
“We are pleased to welcome Shandong Airlines as our code-share partner and look forward to cooperating with each other on our Japanese and Chinese networks. This will give our customer access to a wider network,” said Ito.
