“We are very pleased to be launching a new international service from Tokyo to Houston,” said ANA’s president & CEO, Osamu Shinobe. “Houston will be our 10th destination in North America and will provide a great gateway to Central and South America from Japan and many other Asian countries.
“Together with our joint venture partner United, we are confident that passenger demand will be high and that our expanding network will provide customers with greater choice,” he added.
Launching on 12 June 2015, the Houston service will depart Tokyo’s Narita Airport at 1115, arriving in the Texas city’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport at 0930 the same day, having crossed the International Date Line. The return service will then depart Houston at 1120, and arrive back into Narita at 1520 the following day. Flights will be operated using ANA’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
And also in June 2015, ANA will launch second daily flights on the Narita-Singapore and Narita-Bangkok routes. The Singapore service will operate as an evening flight, leaving Narita at 1700 and arriving at Changi Airport at 2315. The return service will then depart at 0035 and get back to Tokyo at 0845.
And on the Bangkok route, flights will depart Narita at 1655 and arrive at the Thai capital’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 2135. The outbound flight will depart Bangkok at 0030 and get back to Narita at 0840.
Both these services will be operated using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.
