Anantara has signed its 25th global hotel and its first in Cambodia – the Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa.
Located in Siem Reap, the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage temple complex, the new resort offers 39 rooms and suites measuring between 48 and 140m². The suites also include private gardens and libraries that convert into dining or meeting rooms, plus spa rooms with treatment beds and jacuzzis.
Other hotel facilities include a saltwater pool, an Anantara Spa with three treatment rooms, massage rooms and an outdoor jacuzzi, plus a rooftop garden for yoga classes. The resort also includes The Gallery restaurant and Spice Spoons Cooking School.
“We are very excited to add Anantara Angkor Resort & Spa to the brand’s luxury portfolio and in doing so reach the significant milestone of 25 Anantara properties,” said Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotel Group, Anantara’s parent company.
“Cambodia is also a new country for the brand – the seventh. The first Anantara opened 12 years ago, so to reach 25 within this timeframe is a real achievement and testament to the strength of the Anantara brand. With a pipeline of more than 20 hotels and resorts under development, we are confident that Anantara will continue to go from strength to strength in the coming years.”
Anantara hotels and resorts are now present in Thailand, the Maldives, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, China and the UAE, with future properties planned for Laos, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Mozambique, Oman and Qatar.
