Asia Pacific vows to fight aviation terror threat

Countries in the Asia Pacific region have vowed to combat terror threats to commercial aircraft by boosting international security measures, including screening technology. According to a Channel NewsAsia report, the declaration was made in Tokyo at a one-day meeting attended by senior officials from 17 countries, plus Hong Kong and the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). In the joint declaration, the countries agreed to boost cooperation and information sharing with regard to security threats.
