InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has reported that revenue per available room (revPAR) at its Asia Pacific hotels increased 12.4% in 2010, led by a 25.8% increase for the group’s Greater China properties. The result meant that Asia Pacific was by far the best performing global region for IHG in 2010, with worldwide company revPAR increasing just 6.2%. For the 12-month period, IHG’s operating profit increased 22% to US$444 million, on the back of a 6% rise in revenue, which totalled US$1.63 billion.
