Aston opens new MICE hotel in Sumatra
Aston International yesterday opened a new four-star MICE-focused hotel in the Riau Islands, Sumatra. The Aston Tanjung Pinang Hotel & Conference Center is located on Jalan Adisucipto, close to Tanjung Pinang’s airport. It offers 162 guest rooms and suites, an outdoor swimming pool, and meeting and banqueting facilities which can accommodate up to 800 guests.
“Tanjung Pinang is the perfect setting for our newest Aston Hotel & Conference Center, with the city’s strategic location between Jakarta, Singapore and Malaysia, making it an interesting market for meetings and conferences as well as regional tourism,” said Norbert Vas, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Aston International.
“The Aston Tanjung Pinang fits into our strategy of developing mid market hotels with well conceptualized conference facilities throughout several Indonesian provincial capitals and secondary cities. This delightful new property will compliment Aston’s other hotel and conference centers which recently opened in Bangka, Pontianak, Serpong, Bogor, Bandung, and Jayapura with further developments in Solo, Purwokerto, Jambi, Makassar and Banjarmasin coming soon.”
