Aussie agents experience cruise products
The Australian cruise season is hitting its peak, with 11 ships from Carnival Australia’s fleets making 45 calls to Australian ports in just two weeks (February 22-March 8).
Between them the ships will be carrying almost 30,000 passengers on a range of holidays from world voyages to local Australian cruises.
Complete Cruise Solution, which represents P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, P&O Cruises World Voyages, Cunard Line, Costa Cruises and the Yachts of Seabourn in Australia, is making the most of the cruise season, showcasing visiting ships to about 5000 travel consultants through a mix of famils, walkarounds or onboard functions between January and April 2010.
In February alone, around 2300 agents will attend 48 separate events, with another 1800 agents taking part in March events.
Ship calls over the next two weeks included a swag of maiden visits by international ships, from a historic call to the Whitsundays this Sunday (February 28) by Cunard’s magnificent Queen Mary 2 to Seabourn Odyssey’s inaugural calls to Melbourne (Feb 22), Sydney (Feb 24-25), Cairns (March 1) and Darwin (March 4).
Meanwhile Cunard’s Queen Victoria will be making her first visits to Adelaide (Feb 24), Albany (Feb 27), Fremantle (Feb 28) and Exmouth (March 2).
“From Cooktown to Albany, from Darwin to Hobart, our ships will be in ports in every State, giving us a fantastic opportunity to showcase our ships to more travel consultants than ever before,” Complete Cruise Solution Director of Sales Don Clark said.
