A computer glitch caused ATM machines in Sydney to dish out free money last week. Channel NewsAsia reported that customers rushed to several Commonwealth Bank ATMs as news of the technical problem spread via social networking sites. People were reported to be celebrating in the streets, shouting “free money, free money!” The celebrations may be short-lived however; police said that anyone found to have taken the money would be traced and forced to repay the funds. Two men have already been arrested and charged, the report added.
