The Association of Women Travel Executives (AWTE) has launched a hunt for the travel industry’s 60 most influential women to mark its milestone anniversary.
Nominations will be taken via Twitter @AWTE and using the hashtag #60for60, or by email to AWTE@travlaw.co.uk to find the 60 women that have made a significant impact on the industry in the past or present.
Those 60 will then each choose a young promise in the industry who will be given a free year-long membership to the organisation.
The winners will be announced at the AWTE’s official anniversary event on 14 July.
“There are so many influential women in the travel industry and we are delighted to be honouring them as part of our anniversary celebrations,” said Barbro McAusland, AWTE chair. “This is a great representation of the AWTE’s evolution towards a leadership hub for women, where experienced members can help to develop the rising stars of the industry.”
