The Indonesian government has allocated IDR1.9 trillion (US$208 million) to renovate Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, the Jakarta Post has reported. The extensive project will turn the domestic terminal into the international terminal and vice versa in an effort to boost capacity. In October last year airport officials said the hub would be able to handle 17 million passengers a year by 2020. The initial project is expected to be complete by 2013.
