Beijing Capital Airlines will acquire a new aircraft to serve the long-haul routes

Beijing Capital Airlines will launch its first long-haul international flights this year, with the launch of two new routes to Copenhagen.

According to a recent announcement by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the airline has applied for permission to launch weekly non-stop flights to the Danish capital, from both Hangzhou and Beijing.

The Hangzhou-Copenhagen route will commence on 3 September, with the Beijing service following on 6 September. Beijing Capital Airlines doesn’t currently have any long-haul aircraft, but plans to take delivery of a new Airbus A330 in time for the start of the new flights.

Part of the HNA Group, Beijing Capital Airlines currently operates domestic flights and has been gradually adding new services to international destinations in South Korea, Thailand and Japan, from its bases in Beijing, Hangzhou and Xi’an.
