Best Western International has revealed plans to increase the number of properties it operates in Asia and the Middle East by nearly 50% by 2011.
The hotel group’s current Asia and Middle East portfolio boasts more than 160 properties - a figure it aims to take to 235 by the end of next year.
“Local hotel developers across Asia, the Middle East and other emerging regions are attracted to our unique membership model, the global strength of our brand and the marketing support we provide to each of our more than 4,000 hotels worldwide,” said Best Western President and CEO David Kong.
He did not provide specific details of the group’s Middle East expansion plans.
However, Best Western does intend to roll out its new Bhuvana My Spa concept at its Oman and Bahrain properties next year.
Best Western is the world’s largest hotel chain with more than 4000 independently-owned and operated properties.
