BRIGHT completes first round of workshops

Forty-eight independent travel agents from 24 agencies in Cheshire, Shropshire, Lancashire and North Wales attended last week’s workshop of BRIGHT (Bringing Real Information & Guaranteed High Quality Training) at the Llyndir Hotel near Chester.

The event was hosted by members from Jersey Tourism, Cox & Kings, Explore, Kirker Holidays, Hurtigruten, 1st Class Holidays, Veloso Tours, Silverseas Cruises, Prom Peru and Mosaic Holidays.

Agents attended from Co-operative Travel, Delmar World Travel, Denbighshire Travel, Luxury Leisure Travel, Myriad Travel, Not Just Travel, Owens Travelmaster, Peakes Travel Elite, Pearl King Travel, Sandy Lane Travel, Terry Jones Travel, Travelmaster Holiday, Travel Places, Travel Counsellors, Co-op Personal Travel Advisors and Personal Travel Advisor Kerry Ashley.

Commenting on the seminar, Hisham Mahmoud, chairman of Bright, said: “We’ve now finished our first round of workshops and will resume after the summer in The Channel Islands. Well over 300 independent agents have joined us at venues around the UK and the response has been enormously encouraging.

“Our Chester gathering was one of the biggest ever and the 48 agents we met were so enthusiastic,” he added.

Bright’s next workshop and dinner events will be staged in Guernsey on 8 September and Jersey on 9 September.
