Cabin smoke emergency for Vietnam passenger plane

A passenger plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Vietnam’s central province of Phu Yen on Tuesday, when smoke was detected in the cabin. The ATR72 aircraft, operated by Vietnam Air Service Company (VASCO), the regional subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines, was en route from Tuy Hoa Airport to Ho Chi Minh City when the incident occurred. The plane was forced to turn back and make an emergency landing at Tuy Hoa.
