Cambodian group plans new hotels

The Grand Lion Group of Cambodia is making its first forays into the hospitality sector with the opening of a resort complex in the coastal town of Sihanoukville and a business hotel in Phnom Penh. Scheduled to open in 2013, the Grand Palm Resort, Sihanoukville, will comprise three international hotels, a marina, 18- hole championship golf course and luxury villas and condos situated on a 200-hectare beachfront site. The 200-room hotel in Phnom Penh is also expected to open in 2013. Grand Lion Group also announced an agreement with Marriott to open a Courtyard hotel in Siem Reap.
