Cathay Pacific and Hong Kong’s Miramar Group have joined together to launch a new range of in-flight menus. Starting from May, the same Chinese and Western dishes found at Miramar Group restaurants will be served to First Class, Business Class and Economy Class passengers onboard Cathay flights. More than 90 dishes will be on offer from eight Miramar outlets: Cuisine Cuisine at IFC Mall Central, The French Window, Tsui Hang Village Restaurant (Central), Tsui Hang Village Restaurant (Tsim Sha Tsui), WHISK, Yamm, Yunyan Sichuan Restaurant and the two Michelin-starred Cuisine Cuisine at The Mira.
Speaking at a preview luncheon for the promotion, Cathay Pacific’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Quince Chong, said; “As Hong Kong’s home carrier, Cathay Pacific is committed to promoting Hong Kong as an exciting destination and food paradise for visitors from all over the world. We are delighted to join hands with Miramar Group in our latest, most extensive inflight menu promotion thus far, featuring eight highly regarded restaurants, covering both Chinese and Western cuisines.”
Miramar Group Vice President of F&B Operations & Development, Nelson Chow added; “Passengers nowadays want to be delighted and a pleasurable in-flight menu can definitely heighten their experience flying with an airline. We are thrilled to join hands with Cathay Pacific to achieve just that, by showcasing our delicate cuisines of all eight restaurants on a host of flights; and it is an exciting challenge for our veteran chefs as well to create the same exquisite menus specifically for inflight enjoyment.”
The special dishes will be served on the majority of Cathay Pacific flights departing Hong Kong from 1 May to 31 July 2011.
