Cebu Pacific has launched a new service linking Tokyo with the Philippine city of Cebu.
Flights commenced on 26 March 2015 and will now operate four times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, using a new 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.
Services will depart Mactan-Cebu International Airport at 0555, arriving at Tokyo’s Narita Airport at 1120. The return flight will then leave the Japanese capital at 1205, getting back into Cebu at 1625.
“We look forward to welcoming even more Japanese tourists to Cebu, which is located at the centre of the Philippines. It is an island destination known for its beaches, mangoes, snorkelling, diving, food and culture,” said the low-cost carrier’s vice president of marketing & distribution, Candice Iyog.
“From Cebu, we also fly direct to 22 other Philippine destinations including popular island attractions such as Boracay, Palawan and Siargao. Cebu Pacific will make island hopping in the Philippines more fun and more convenient with this new route,” she added.
Cebu-Tokyo becomes the airline’s fourth route between Japan and the Philippines. Cebu Pacific started flying from Manila to Osaka in 2008 and added flights from the Philippine capital to Tokyo and Nagoya last year.
Tokyo also becomes Cebu Pacific’s third international destination served directly from Cebu, following Singapore and Hong Kong.
