Cebu Pacific Air has launched a new service connecting Singapore with Davao, the largest city in the southern Philippines.

The new twice weekly flights commenced last week and will now depart Davao’s Francisco Bangoy International Airport every Thursday and Sunday at 1735 and arrive at Singapore’s Changi Airport at 2110. The return flights then leave at 2155 and arrive back in Davao at 0140 the next morning.

Cebu Pacific will serve the route using its 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.

“This launch marks our fifth direct route from Singapore to the Philippines. Our trademark low fares mean that business and leisure travellers alike can now enjoy easy access to Southern Philippines, and explore all the wonders that Davao has to offer,” said the airline’s vice president of marketing & distribution, Candice Iyog.

Cebu Pacific also offers direct flights from Singapore to Manila, Cebu, Clark and Iloilo. It will compete with SilkAir on the Davao route.
