Cebu Pacific Air will launch its first flights to the Pacific island of Guam next year.
Commencing on 15 March 2016, the low-cost carrier will operate four weekly flights direct between Manila and Guam, using its 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.
It will compete with Philippine Airlines on the route, and the airline’s president & CEO, Lance Gokongwei, said that Cebu Pacific would offer lower fares than its rival.
“Having Guam in our network sets us off on another expansion path across the Pacific. With the launch of Guam, we offer fares that are up to 83% lower than other airlines. Fares this low can only mean more tourists to both countries, more Filipinos visiting home, and more opportunities for everyone,” said Gokongwei.
Flights will depart Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 0345 and arrive in Guam at 1015. The return service will then take off at 1230, arriving back in Manila at 1455.
