China Airlines to lease three B737s

China Airlines (CAL) has signed an agreement to lease three Boeing 737-800s from International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC).
The new deal will see the three new narrow-body aircraft delivered to the Taipei-based airline in the second quarter of 2013.
CAL currently operates a fleet of 51 aircraft, including 10 B737-800s. The new aircraft are likely to be configured in a two-cabin layout with 158 seats – eight in business class and 150 in economy.
“China Airlines looks forward to receiving these new airplanes from ILFC as they will provide us the ability to continue our high-level of service for our customers,” said CAL’s President, Huang-Hsiang Sun.
