Two senior Chinese officials have received honourary life membership of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA). Shao Qiwei, Chairman of China National Tourism Administration, and Guo Jinlong, the Mayor of Beijing, were both given the honour at PATA’s 60th anniversary and Annual Conference event, being held in Beijing.
The PATA Honourary Life membership is traditionally conferred upon the chairperson of the PATA Conference Host Committee. Shao and Guo were given the honour for their efforts in putting on this week’s event, and their support of PATA.
