Chinese passenger jet starts cold weather trials

China’s first homemade passenger jet, COMAC’s ARJ21-700, is undergoing cold weather flight tests, Xinhua has reported. The regional aircraft, which can seat up to 90 people, has so far completed more than 900 hours of tests and will now be tested in the extreme cold conditions in Inner Mongolia. COMAC has so far signed 340 orders for the ARJ21.
