A Chinese travel aggregation site is upgrading its technology as it bids to expand overseas.
PKFARE.com has selected Amadeus’ search technology, content and payment solution to accelerate its move into the international market, becoming the latest in a wave of Chinese travel players looking to move into the global stage.
Under the multi-year agreement, Amadeus will provide PKFARE.com with its flight content using the ‘Master Pricer’ solution for points-of-sale outside mainland China. This will allow customers to access the cheapest bookable fares and most convenient itineraries while searching the travel site. Accommodation content will be provided via the Amadeus Hotel Web Services solution.
“This partnership with Amadeus is a critical milestone in our growth. We’ve grown very quickly in China but recognise that to take our business to the next level we need to become a global player,” said Jason Song, CEO & founder of PKFARE.com.
“As a B2B travel aggregator it is important that we deliver the best hotel and air content available to our customers. Our agreement with Amadeus ensures we will do that via the best search technology available, positioning us well to compete on the international stage.”
PKFARE.com will also implement the Amadeus B2B Wallet Prepaid solution to enable automated payments to its overseas suppliers.
