Value coach operator Eurolines is adding extra capacity to Belgium on Thursday and Friday (October 8-9) this week to support passengers affected by a planned Belgian rail strike.
The planned 24-hour rail strike is scheduled to start at 10pm on Thursday, and will severely disrupt train services to Belgium with no direct services available as trains from London terminate at Lille.
A number of train services from Paris to Brussels will also be cancelled during the disruption.
In response, Eurolines is providing customers with a rail alternative by adding capacity on coach services to Brussels and Antwerp.
The coach operator said it also stands ready to keep adding capacity as necessary to ensure people have an affordable link to the continent.
