New UK carrier Darwin Airlines has signed an interline agreement with Etihad Airways, boosting flight connectivity from Cambridge Airport.
Darwin’s services from the airport to Amsterdam, Paris, Geneva and Milan launch on Monday (2 September) with connections now on sale to Abu Dhabi as well as destinations in Australia, the Indian Ocean, Asia and Africa.
Under the agreement, passengers and baggage can check-in at Cambridge for the entire journey and not have to check-in luggage at the various points.
David Surley, Head of Business & Route Development of Cambridge International Airport, said, “This agreement gives Cambridge a new and truly worldwide reach, connecting on to Etihad Airways, one of the world’s most exciting and fast-growing carriers. It is excellent news for passengers and businesses across the East of England.”
Christian Schneider, CCO of Darwin Airlines said the connections offer a “very competitive” option with services from Cambridge to the Maldives taking 14 and a hour hours. Prices to Abu Dhabi start from GBP554 return.
