Queenstown is giving away 300 hotel nights in September and October as operators try to piggyback the Rugby World Cup (RWC2011). Though the town is not hosting any games, Destination Queenstown is running a week-long spring sweepstake to give potential visitors the chance to win free room nights.Destination Queenstown CEO Tony Everitt hope the draw will encourage sports fans to add Queenstown to the travel itineraries. It is also intended to persuade other travellers to visit during this period. “We’re aware that some people might be putting off a trip because they think accommodation may be expensive or hard to find.
