Recent statistics state that Dubai World Central’s (DWC) passenger traffic for the first half of 2015 totalled 209,989 down 64% from the 578,129 passengers recorded last year.
This drop was due to the surge in volumes created by temporary relocation of 300 flights per week while runway refurbishment programme was conducted at Dubai International.
Aircraft movements totalled 20,866 in the first half of 2015, down 17% from 25,184 movements achieved last year.
Once flydubai operations commence this October, DWC will offer passengers a total of 190 weekly flights to 17 destinations.
