Earthquakes rattle Sulawesi

Indonesia’s Sulawesi Island was rattles by a series of quakes on Sunday and Monday. The Antara news agency reported that a 6.2-magnitude quake caused residents of coastal areas in South Sulawesi to flee their homes and seek higher ground, fearing a tsunami. A second quake was reported to measure 5.2 on the Richter scale, and was believed to be an aftershock of the first stronger quake. No casualties were reported.
