The Eaton Smart Hotel, Hong Kong, has teamed up with mobile travel guide, ‘ask Ting Ting’. Guests at the hotel will be able to hire an ask Ting Ting device for HK$250 (US$32) per day.
As a combination of mobile phone and a city guide, ask Ting Ting is a pre-installed mobile device with a city guide featuring two hours of video clips and more than 600 points of interest ranging from sightseeing to dining and shopping locations. It is integrated with Google maps offering walking directions, information on public transportation routes and taxis and a built-in camera.
The device also offers guests one hour of free international calls (IDD) to cover 40 countries for every 24 hours of rental, as well as free local calls in Hong Kong, free internet and email access on the smartphone and for all laptops via WiFi connection and an range of discounts and offers at retail partners.
