Emirates has added extra capacity on its Dubai-Bangkok route, with the launch of a sixth daily flight.
The new service commenced on 27 October 2013, coinciding with the launch of the airline second daily Airbus A380 flight to the Thai capital. Emirates will now operate four morning, one afternoon and one night flight on the route, using a mix of Boeing 777s and A380s
“Emirates’ sixth daily service to Bangkok launches on the same day as the start of our second daily Airbus A380 service to the city, demonstrating the importance of Thailand to the airline,” said Barry Brown, Emirates’ divisional senior vice president of commercial operations.
“Due to passenger demand, we have seen a steady increase in terms of services and capacity on our Southeast Asian routes. In addition to the Bangkok sixth daily, Emirates is also increasing its Hong Kong services to four daily from 27 October,” he added.
Emirates now operates a fleet of 207 aircraft to 136 destinations in 77 countries. From Bangkok, the airline offers onward services to Hong Kong, Sydney and Christchurch.
