Ethiopian Airlines has launched a new direct service to Hangzhou. The city, located in eastern China’s Zhejiang province, will be served direct from the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, and becomes Ethiopian’s fourth destination in China following Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong. The new route will be served five times a week using Ethiopian’s Boeing 757 or 767 aircraft.
“This new operation to Hangzhou reinforces our commitment to the Chinese traveling public and the strong ties between China and Africa”, said Tewolde Gebre Mariam, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines.
In another development, Ethiopian has launched daily direct flights between Addis Ababa and Beijing using its newest Boeing 777-200LR aircraft offering 34 sleeper seats in ‘Cloud Nine class’, as well as 271 seats in Economy Class
