Taiwan’s leading independent airline, EVA Air, will be hosting its second annual half-marathon event, the EVA Air Run, in Taipei on 27 October 2019. The event will give up to 20,000 runners from across the globe the chance to enjoy Taipei’s scenery and skyline as they compete in the half-marathon (21km), or shorter 10km and 3km races.
Starting from 5:20am on Ketagalan Boulevard near to the JingFu Gate, the EVA Air Run courses take runners past some of the Taipei’s most well-known and stunning sights, including the National Theater, Taipei Fine Arts Museum and the Keelung River, as the sun rises over the city.
Those entering at a half-marathon level will be divided into 12 groups according to age and gender.
Those completing in the EVA Air Run half-marathon category will win up to NTD 30,000 (approximately USD 700), subject to taxes, for posting the best time.
On completion of the races, runners will receive a finishers’ medal and electronic certificate to commemorate their achievement. Participants will also receive a number of gifts, such as a T-shirt, running singlet, towel and a drawstring bag exclusively for half-marathon participants.
