The aircraft will also be used for Eznis’ short-haul regional (international) services such as Hailar (China) and Ulan-Ude (Russia). The new service which is direct is expected to further strengthen trade, cultural and ethnic ties between the traditional partners – Mongolia and the Republic of Buryatia.
Currently, the first and the only international air service to/from the city of Ulan-Ude, the flights Ulan Ude-Ulaanbaatar is also expected to develop regional tourism as it allows for convenient travel to the picturesque Lake Baikal located less than 100 km from Ulan-Ude.
The flights on the route Ulaanbaatar – Ulan-Ude – Ulaanbaatar will be operated twice weekly – on Tuesdays and Saturdays – on 34-seat Saab 340B aircraft.
