Police in China have seized more than 40 fake Terracotta Warriors which were being used to scam tourists.
The Xinhua news agency reported that he collection of replica sculptures was discovered following a raid on a resort in Lintong, the same district of Shaanxi province where the real warriors are located.
They were reportedly lined up in a 600m² display area.
It is believed that local scam artists, including unlicensed taxi drivers and tour guides, were taking unsuspecting tourists to the resort, instead of the real archaeological site.
The fake warriors have now been destroyed.
