Finnair’s Asian traffic climbs

Finnair’s passenger traffic on routes to and from Asia Pacific saw strong double-digit growth in June 2011. The airline carried a total of 127,900 passengers on its Asian routes last month – 19.4% more than the same month last year. These included passengers on the airline’s recently-launched services to Singapore. Capacity on Finnair’s Asian routes increased 30.2% year-on-year however, leading to a 4.6-percentage point drop in load factor, which averaged 74.9% for the month. Year-to-date Finnair’s Asia Pacific passenger traffic has increased 11.8% with load factors averaging 73.3%.
