Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts will continue to expand its presence in Southeast Asia in the coming years, with the launch of a new landmark property in Malaysia.
Scheduled to open in early 2018, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur will be located in the city’s KLCC area, which is home to multiple shopping malls, offices, attractions and the Petronas Towers.
It will form part of a 65-storey mixed-use tower that will include 242 Four Seasons Private Residences, 27 serviced apartments, a 209-key Four Seasons hotel and a five-floor luxury retail area. Collectively, the complex will be known as ‘Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur’.
“Four Seasons Place is a multi-billion ringgit project with an iconic and majestic tower,” said Syed Mohd Yusof bin Tun Syed Nasir, director & shareholder of Venus Assets, which is developing the complex. “With this new project, we are excited to continue our successful partnership with Four Seasons… to create the most exclusive hotel and private residences in Kuala Lumpur.”
The hotel will overlook KLCC Park and will be directly connected to the esplanade, providing access to the 20-hectare park’s gardens, ponds and jogging track. The hotel itself will feature a range of amenities, including Chinese and international restaurants, a rooftop pool and bar, a spa and fitness centre.
“Kuala Lumpur is a key hub for both business and leisure travel, and an exciting destination for Four Seasons to establish a presence,” said J. Allen Smith, the luxury hotel group’s president & CEO. “We’re proud to work in partnership with Venus Assets to bring their vision for this remarkable property to life.”
Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur will become the company’s second property in Malaysia following the Four Seasons Resort Langkawi. This will give guests the option of two-centre city and beach resort holidays.
