Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has launched a brochure dedicated to its river cruise ship, the MS Mozart.
The luxury vessel, which will operate on the Danube, is going to be solely sold be Fred. Olsen’s new tour operator arm: Fred.\ under its new river cruise division, Fred.\ River Cruises.
Paula Jackson, sales executive at Fred.\ River Cruises, said, “River cruising is very much a growing market, and we’ve recognised there’s high demand amongst agents who are very excited that we’re behind this product and are pleased to be welcoming it back to the UK market. Having had a full refurbishment in 2010, the vessel is well known to the UK trade already as it was previously operated by tour operator Peter Deilmann.
“The MS Mozart river cruise is of exceptional quality and a really good transitional product for agents who have cruising clients looking for a river cruise with the same standards found on an ocean cruise. Also, unlike many operators, we have access to very good availability right across the season.”
The vessel’s standard cabins come in at 20sqm, while it can also accommodate single travellers, couples and threes. The ship also has a heated swimming pool and spa while the company has said that certain rooms are equipped for passengers requiring kidney dialysis.
The company will offer two itineraries, either an eight-day Royal Danube or a longer 15-day Iron Gates and Danube Delta Cruise. Prices start from GBP1,099.
